. hello everybody, i'm bruce johnson, thank you for joining us. led by police robot authorities got past the first explosive device in the apartment of the colorado shooting suspect. police say the major threat has been eliminated but other threats remain inside the apartment of james holmes. he's suspected of killing 12 people and wounding 58? yesterday's rampage. we have team coverage tonight and let's begin with teresa garcia in aurora. [ no audio ] >> reporter: the movie theater here in aurora remaybes closed until at least next wednesday but across town a much more active scene with the bomb experts making entry into the suspect's apartment and police are telling us it could take another 12 to 24 hours until they can safely clear out the dangerous materials. a controlled explosion went off inside the booby trapped apartment of accused movie theater gunman james holmes. flush the blast was designed to help law enforcement get inside the apartment which they say contained a complicated array of explosive devices trigger wires, chemicals and ammunition. >> the threat has not been compl

, charles county, prince george, and fairfax, where you can see the largest cell south of me national us. we're seeing gusty winds up to about 35, 40 miles per hours within that storm cell. also, there is a line of showers and storms moving off to the east of that region, as well, and we will continue to see this set up as we head throughout the evening hours, and into the early portion of toronto. so far, we are tracking larger storms that could be coming our way from the west. as of right now, temperatures are warm, sitting at 91 at reagan national, we will continue to see partly cloudy skies in through the overnight, but the temperatures will begin to be rain cooled as we slip back down into the 80s over the next couple of hours. the general severe thunderstorm watch, that's the general watch area, is east of i 81, and that watch is going to be running until 10:00 p.m. i'll have more details for you coming up in my full weather report. we have two more reminders that police work can be dangerous. gunfire erupted outside a prince george night club injuring an officer, it happened at the ga
